So today I get my comp parts and I realized that the monitor I chose didnt have DVI cables. So I went out and bought Dvi-I cables. And when I go to plug them into my monitors they dont fit for some reason. I know they should but they dont. Am I plugging it in wrong. Please help.

Most likely what is happening is that the port on the monitor is DVI-D and the cable you purchased is DVI-I. Inspect both the port and the cable carefully and see if they both have the same amount of pins. Wikipedia has some good diagrams: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DVI.
