Hi,

I've tried messagepal and Outlook Messenger but they had some quirks. I'm looking for a good, reliable non-server based IM for our office- we have 7 employees. We just need something really simple but I've had the hardest time finding a good program and one where when I contact customer service with a question they actually write back! On the scale of computer handiness, I'd say I'm a 5... that means, the easier to install the better!

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks so much!!!!

Sorry, all IM's require some sort of server. It's simply up to you weather or not you want to host it. Microsoft Live communicator is a IM solution for internal usage. In other words its an IM for corp. clients. Your other options are Yahoo, Trillian, Jabber,

Thanks Starjax for your information. Is there one we can just put on each computer in the LAN?

i use google talk for most of my office "chatting" it's really light on resources and can do voice calls if you need to (extremely crisp voice calls on the right connection)...
