Do rival make wireless cards/adapters not work with rival networks??
Because when my friend brings round his laptop with a Linksys wireless card and tries to connect to my network he cant and when i tried using my netgear crad on his wirless it wouldnt connect and had no signal strength right next to the router

Is this ment to happen to makee you have to get one of there wireless cards or is it a problem with are networks??
just wondering because it really does get anooying and if anyone else has this problem i bet they find it anooying

The brand of a card really doesn't matter what type of network(s) it is used to connect to, in fact its got absolutely nothing to do with it.
You've more likely encountered a more serious issue somewhere along the line.
