I noticed today whenI had my case open, that the 6 pin to 4 pin connnector cable I have plugged into my video card to my PSU, one of the brown wires is loose. The fan on my vid card still runs though. In my video games i'm having artifacts like menu's going jagged, and sometimes things stretching into infinity. Would a loose wire cause these problems, yet have the fan still run?

Yes, because its not just powering the fan. It is also adding power to run the card.
