Having experience with spyware removal before I ran Dr.Web's CureIt and it cured a couple things, then I ran Spybot-S&D and alot of infections were detected so I clicked on Fix and most of them were fixed except 1 were it says 'error removing check log' or something like that.
my computer got a little faster after that but this stupid icon in the system tray still remains popping up every now and again. I went to the properties and clicked on always hide but everytime I restart the computer it reappears.
