Please re-open HiJackThis and click Scan. Place a check next to these entries.

R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page =
R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant =
R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,CustomizeSearch =
R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page =
R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page =
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [WindowsFY] c:\wp.exe

This one is optional, but highly recommended

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Security iGuard] C:\Programmi\Security iGuard\Security iGuard.exe

Security iGuard is a rogue/suspect program that should not be trusted and should be uninstalled.

After that, close all open windows except HJT and click Fix Checked.

Then reboot into safe mode.

Restart your computer and as soon as it starts booting up again continuously tap F8. A menu should come up where you will be given the option to enter Safe Mode.

Please delete these files using Windows Explorer(if present):

c:\wp.exe

After that, Reboot.

After you reboot, please post back with a fresh HiJackThis log.

trojan-spy.html.bayfraud.a
not-virus:joke.win32.finger.b

i found them in kaspersky.com virus encyclopedia, but i don't know what to do.
i can't delete them 'cause i need to delete all my e-mails?!?!?!?!? :tazz:
i can't find anithing in my e-mails, i can't understand why these files are infected. ;) ;)

in a few hours, i'll post another HJT log, if you need it. please let me know.

Your log is starting to look a little better. There is a little cleanup that we need to do.

Please re-open HiJackThis and click Scan. Place a check mark next to these entries.

O9 - Extra button: Microsoft AntiSpyware helper - {DAE9A75E-0B76-4250-A15E-7693BAF47E25} - (no file) (HKCU)
O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: Microsoft AntiSpyware helper - {DAE9A75E-0B76-4250-A15E-7693BAF47E25} - (no file) (HKCU)

After that, close all open windows except HJT and click Fix Checked. Then reboot.

The errors from KAV may be related to the incomplete Avast! Antivirus install. I highly recommend that you download and reinstall the latest Avast or switch to one of the other free Antivirus programs available.

Give that a shot and let me know what you come up with.

errors?? you mean the .dbx files infected?

ok, i reinstall avast as last thing, or you can say me the best one (and free or "similar"....). i use avast 'cause it's good and free licensed, without problem of re-cracking any upgrade. :tazz:

Yes, those are the errors I was talking about. I can see that your install is incomplete by your log.

There are a few great alternatives to Avast if you choose to go away from it. I have also not heard anything bad about Avast, so if you are happy with it, you can just re-download it and reinstall. That should fix the problems I see in your log.

AVG Antivirus has a free option that you may also like. You can find it here

http://www.grisoft.com

We do not condone nor support hacking/cracking of software here. There are free alternatives all over the internet for just about everything for those willing to look.

Everything looks clean. How are things running?

The following is a list of tools and utilities that I like to suggest to people. This list is full of great tools and utilities to help you understand how you got infected and how to keep from getting infected again.
  • Spybot Search & Destroy - Uber powerful tool which can search and annhilate nasties that make it onto your system. Now with an Immunize section that will help prevent future infections.
  • AdAware - Another very powerful tool which searches and kills nasties that infect your system. AdAware and Spybot Search & Destroy compliment each other very well.
  • SpywareBlaster - Great prevention tool to keep nasties from installing on your system.
  • SpywareGuard - Works as a Spyware "Shield" to protect your computer from getting malware in the first place.
  • IE-SpyAd - puts over 5000 sites in your restricted zone so you'll be protected when you visit innocent-looking sites that aren't actually innocent at all.
  • CleanUP! - Cleans temporary files from IE and Windows, empties the recycle bin and more. Great tool to help speed up your computer and knock out those nasties that like to reside in the temp folders.
  • Windows Updates - It is very important to make sure that both Internet Explorer and Windows are kept current with the latest critical security patches from Microsoft. To do this just start Internet Explorer and select Tools > Windows Update, and follow the online instructions from there.
  • Google Toolbar - Free google toolbar that allows you to use the powerful Google search engine from the bar, but also blocks pop up windows.
  • Trillian or Miranda-IM - These are Malware free Instant Messenger programs which allow you to connect to multiple IM services in one program! (AOL, Yahoo, ICQ, IRC, MSN)
To find out more information about how you got infected in the first place and some great guidelines to follow to prevent future infections you can read this article by Tony Klein

just one thing is bad, my monitor is black and if i left click, i have only 2 tabs.......

thanks for your software advice, i use someone of them.
but i can't use windows update, this is the problem: when the page opens, explorer says to wait for checking which updates do you have, so you can download the others. but i wait forever and nothing happens. this is an "old" problem, previous to Smitfraud.
some months ago it works good, but now i don't know what to do. i've read all the messages in this forum, i've used the "run" function in windows, i deleted the windowsupdate folder, i've tryied to download activex but nothing.........

and: it's good to install SP1 and SP2 or i'll have licensing problem? my license is not 100% legal......

thanks, thanks, thanls!!!

Unfortunately as you do not have a legal copy of windows, I will no longer be able to assist you with your issue. Geeks To Go policy is that we do not condone and can not support users who do not have legal versions of windows. This is partially due to a contract with GTG and Microsoft.

If and when you are able to obtain a legal copy of windows and download service pack 1a, then I will be able to continue assisting you. Until then, I cannot.
