On my DC which is my GC running 2003 SP2 my Application log is loaded with:
Event Type: Error
Event Source: Userenv
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1058
Date: 8/28/2007
Time: 11:33:46 AM
User: NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM
Computer: SVR1
Description:
Windows cannot access the file gpt.ini for GPO cn={24E348E5-3545-4F44-90A4-170C6B16743B},cn=policies,cn=system,DC=sixnetio,DC=com. The file must be present at the location <\\sixnetio.com\SysVol\sixnetio.com\Policies\{24E348E5-3545-4F44-90A4-170C6B16743B}\gpt.ini>. (Access is denied. ). Group Policy processing aborted.

I am also getting the 1030 event on my XP clients.
