yahoo messenger crashes at starting

Why is that you want Swflash.exe to be renamed as flash.ocx? If Yahoo Messenger needs the latest flash.ocx, can't we get this file from macromedia? Won't that be shipped along with Yahoo Messenger? :tazz:

Yahoo Messenger 6.0 crashes while opening (and startup). Following error is reported when eventvwr.msc is run:

Faulting application ypager.exe, version 6.0.0.1922, faulting module unknown, version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x006f004c.

Please help.

Hi,

Actually i've been experiencing this problem with not just
yahoo messenger but with windows explorer and internet
explorer too. "xyz has encountered an error and needs to
close" - im so sick of this message now. nothing much
left to do with my system with the messenger,internet
explorer and windows explorer all giving me errors at the same
time.. can somebody pleassssseee suggest wht i can do...

you should start a new topic call it - frequent chrashes in XP
or whatever system you have.

Give us more information about the problem. Your question is just getting lost in this thread.
