We have a new MAC computer running Safari for the internet. A college class requires Netscape Navigator 7.2. When file is downloaded it comes with a message that there is an error on the disk and continuing may damage the operating system.

Has anyone else run into this with the Netscape download?

Hi cinm,

Netscape 7.2 is based on the Gekco engine used in the Mozilla Browsers. You could try Camino 1.5 which is developed for the Mac by Mozilla.

The software my college uses for it's online classes (Blackboard) sometimes doesn't play nice with Safari. When I do encounter this problem I use Shiira (http://shiira.jp/en.php).
