Hi. Could it be that you are infected?

What do you mean "detects everything on my desktop"?

I would still suggest that you have your system checked by a Malware Specialist for anything...

Please go to the Malware Forum and run all the steps located in the START HERE. These self-help tools will help you clean up 70% of problems on your own. If you are still having problems after doing the steps, then please post a HiJackThis Log in THAT forum. If you are unable to run and/or post a HJT log, then post that in your initial post in the topic you create in that forum.

If you are still having problems after being given a clean bill of health from the malware expert, then please return to THIS thread and we will pursue other options to help you solve your current problem(s).

once my computer starts up when i put my pass at the login screen all of a sudden it keeps saying "threat detected" on files that are in my computer. I keep pressing ignore cause i'm pretty sure those files aren't infected but it keeps listing everything...the last thing i installed before this happened was msn live plus i uninstalled it but i still have the problem.

Well what happens if you let AVG fix or delete or disinfect whatever it is it's flagging up?
Do you have any other anti-virus or anti-spyware programs running on the computer?

i did all that malware stuff you told me to do and everythings back to normal thnx a lot. It took like 4-5 hours to scan and stuff but everything was worth it @_@. It turned out i had a virus/trojan called a bworm and it infected i think 450 something files.

I see... I figured you had a little something in there :whistling:

Here's what concerns me though... We just proved my theory that you were infected, and I still haven't seen you create a topic inside our Malware forum for inspection... I don't mean to come on too hard here, but you just got your security breached -- something you didn't believe could happen... Ever think there might be something in there that AVG isn't picking up? It doesn't hurt to post a HijackThis log just for peace of mind...
