This is a little less bias of an article.

I don't care for GNOME but there is room for all in the FOSS world.

thanks for the read silverbeard,

btw I am not siding here either since there are things like mounting windows drives and other stuff which ubuntu(gnome) does better than kubuntu; besides, with the linux changing so fast, who knows which willl be better next year. thanks

The comments are more interesting than the main article. I've seen bad implementations of both gnome and KDE, and good ones too. I'm using PCLinuOS as my main OS right now and it has the best implementation of KDE ever IMO. I liked the Gnome in Fedora, things were well organized and well placed and it was quite easy to learn the bells and whistles. And the visual quality was good too.
