I think I have malware or something! I've got spyware doctor by pc tools and thought it was doing good but all of a sudden, when I start my computer it takes forever to finish starting up and the time seems to be stuck, when it finally finishes the time jumps up about 3 to 4 minutes.
I tried to find a new spyware software and found "spyware detector". It's supposed to be good and it suposidly found spyware in my registry under ( machine/system/current control set/services/iprip
also (enum/root/legac..
are these spyware? Is spyware detector any good? what should I do?

Hi GEORGE111...

Spyware Detector is very Poorly Reviewed and can cause serious problems on some machines if used as directed.

Please go to the Malware Forum and follow the instructions found there.

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself...then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum. Be patient, the Malware Forum is a very busy place and a two or three day wait is not unusual. Do not reply to or bump your own topic. If it shows a reply it may be overlooked as one that is being worked on.

Click Here to start a new topic and paste your log.

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread.
