Hi

I've a problem with my MCAFEE SCAN thing - Whenever i try to scan - a SCRIPT ERROR OCCURS saying

LINE: 260
CHAR: 2
ERROR: TYPE MISMATCH: 'CDate'
CODE: 0
URL: mcp://C:\PROGRA~1\McAfee.com\VSO\vsoui.dll::scannow.htm/

And i doesn't show me SCAN BUTTON.. it only shows the drives and nothing else...

I tried to google it - but didn't get any solution, it told me to change the DATE pattern - tried that as well but still no luck
please help
thank you

Too make sure that McAfee is completly gone please do the following as well.

Please download the McAfee Removal tool from HERE and Save it to your Desktop.
  • Ensure all McAfee application windows are closed
  • Double-click MCPR.exe.
  • Click Run. A Command Line window will be displayed, and then close automatically. Wait for a second Command Line window to be displayed.
Note: Do not double-click MCPR.exe again, you may have to wait up to 1 minute for the next window to appear.
After the second window appears, the program will begin the cleanup.
  • Observe the installation, which could take several minutes. The following message will be displayed in the Command Line window:
The machine must reboot to complete the un-installation. Reboot now? [y.n]
  • Press Y on the keyboard.
  • Wait for the computer to restart.
All McAfee products are now removed from your computer.

Now for a new Anti Virus I recommend one of the following.

avast! 4 Home Edition
AVG
Anti-Vir.
DO NOT install more than one antivirus program. They will conflict, and provide less protection, not more.
