Okay, let's say i started up my computer with Age of Empires II: Conquerors expansion in my CD rom drive, right? It all works properly and if i open my computer, it says the little AGE2_X1 thing for the CD and has the picture..

But if i then take that out and put in say, Battle for Middle Earth, no autoplay happens. When i open My Computer, the nice little AOE2 picture is gone, but it still says AGE2_X1. If i use a shortcut to open Battle for Middle Earth though, the game works. and if i right click > explore on the CD drive, it gives me all the files and i can run the autoplay manually there and such, but there is never a change from the AGE2_X1 thing (or whatever CD i had in my comp with it started up).

As far as i can figure out, Windows just isn't being notified when i put a new CD in. Any help?

Btw, i checked my registry settings for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Cdrom > autorun and it was set to 1.

Look here last question "Why doesn't AutoPlay work?"

Hope it helps!
