Hi there,

I ran a virus scan and an updated ad aware etc, neither picked up anything. so here's my problem:
I can access the internet--that is, my georgetown email address, and some less popular sites, like colorado.edu, etc. But once I try to go to google.com, yahoo.com, basically any known website, the browser freezes, the little monitors at the bottom right of the screen no longer light up, and under the status bar it says "now opening gmail.google.com.com... gmail.google.com.net... gmail.google.com.org..." Etc. I'm concerned my browser has been hijacked. I run IE explorer and I can't at this point get to mozilla to download that browser instead. Here's my hijack log. Help!

PS: I compared a hijack log from december to this one, and one HUGE difference was two of the "R1" components that showed up in this one but not in the December one. Could that be it? Also, I had a wierd program called MicroStaff installed on my harddrive--had never seen it before. So I uninstalled it. I hope that won't cause any problems... And I havent' updated to SP2 because everybody I know who has updated had to reformat their hard drive (including our servers for business)--I have some programs that I don't ahve the disks for anymore, and a reformat would be cery sad. Should I upgrade?
