I have a Intel Core Duo 2 Processor out of a HP DV6000 provilon I think it a 2.0. anyway is it possible to put it in a asus desktop board that supports Intel Core Duo 2 processor or is there a voltage difference that makes it impossible to work.

Welcome to Geeks to Go.

That will not be possible. Laptops use either socket P or socket M whereas desktops use LGA 775 for Core 2 Duos.

eBay is your friend. List it on eBay, if it goes, cool. If it doesn't, flog it at a car boot sale or something.
