If you have a xp installation cd insert it into the drive and click Start > Run. Type sfc /scannow and let the process run to the end.

I never had a CD. So I can't do it.

I'm getting a new computer in the next few weeks (I'm being lent the money) So it doesn't matter anymore, as this computer is going int he bin after. :whistling:
