No, the RAM was fine. It was the video card that wouldn't respond. The DDR2 plugged right in. He even tried some other ones that he had with him and they would not work. I asked about the over ride when installing the new card and he said it should but it didn't in this case. It was a fun adventure anyway. Thanks again
