im looking to buy xp pro for as cheap as possible, any suggestions on where i could find it?

OEM is fine, or the actual boxed version is ok too, not upgrade version, 32-bit

ALSO if someone could find a cheap Vista Home Premium, same specs, that would be great

Be very careful out there! Many users have found that Windows products purchased on the cheap were phoney. Many reported cases of the packaging and stickers being very close to the real thing. Conterfeit Microsoft products, of course, present problems with updates and signatures, but also quite often come packaged with spyware. They are designed to create a zombie-bot from installation, and since it's part of the installation, is difficult, if not impossible to remove.

Remember--If it seems to good to be true, it is.
Buy from a known and well-rated source only.

I really suggest a full retail version of XP Pro.
OEM installs belong to their machines, and die with them.
