Windows Media Player 11 will not start

Ive recently installed Windows Media Player 11. I have a Windows XP with Service pack 2. But for some reason, i cannot start the player. when i try to open the player my computer does nothing. Can You Help???

have you tried uninstalling and reinstall wmp11?

ive tried that about 3 times, and it still did not work. ive also tried to go back the Windows Medai Player 10, but when i got done installing it it said the it was not compatible with Windows XP with SP2 :whistling:.
