i am trying to repair windows xp on my daughters laptop because the "windows could not start successfully" message was there. couldn't start in any mode. so i put in cd and it has been searching for previous versions of windows for about an hour. i tried restarting. same thing. thanks for any help. :whistling:

hi, welcome to geekstogo, when you say that you put the CD in do you mean that you were trying a repair with XPcd which I think would work here
