Start page not responsive

Here is the strangest thing I have seen in a while. My PC on all night. Next mourning no matter what icon I clicked on on the start page nothing happens. I changed the mouse nothing. I could open the IE with my keyboard and work there but back to my start page nothing. I had to open task manager with my key board and restart to get everything back to normal. I thought the pc was frozen but it was just my start page where nothing would respond. Has anyone see that before.
