Yesterday my dad took out our wireless mouse thing because he thought it was not working. Apparently its in the trash, and nobody wants to get it out and use it.

I plugged our old mouse in the back of the computer, but it is dead. It doesn't need batteries. It is not USB. I have rebooted, but I can't do much on the computer without a mouse.

What's wrong? :)

if it's not a USB mouse...then it's a PS/2 mouse...and there's a chance that it's broken (especially if your dad's chosen tech support method is the trash can)...you could get another mouse...

It probably is broken. We did get a new mouse, it's cordless and an optical mouse thing.

Thanks for your help.
