Earlier to today I installed an update for windows, since then I have no audio from my pc. It looks like I have lost my drivers for my sound card (I believe it is SoundMax). Also In other devices I now have question marks next to:

Multimedia Video Controller
Multimedia Audio Controller
PCI Simple COmmunications Controller

My PC is Dell Dimension 4600

Please help, I have tried all obvious fixes, and tried downloading drivers but I don;t really know what I'm looking for. Any advice?

Thank you.

Somewhere on the Dell will be a service tag.
Go to Dell's site, the support/download section, type the service tag number in, there will be all your drivers that you need.
