I have a couple of bad partitions that appear to be in the start/up boot menu. The computer goes from blue screen to safe mofe choices screen. I am not able to boot period.

I have put in the recovery disk and have a bunch of options delete, directory, fixmbr etc.
Which one do I select to fix the problem or at least guide the computer to it.

THanks for all of your help!

do you mean a disk supplied with the computer/ (like a dell recovery disk or something like that?)

do you see an option for disk maintenance or disk diagnostics or chkdisk?
