I have a client with several Win XP Pro systems on the 2003 domain. One of these systems is getting multiple faulting errors, most notibly relating to spoolsv.exe, explore.exe and iexplore.exe. While error windows continually pop-up the user is still able to continue working, even printing, however if you try to open the Services MMC you get an error and it fails to open.

Here are some snipets from the Event Log.

Event id: 1000
Faulting application explorer.exe, version 6.0.2900.3156, faulting module ole32.dll, version 5.1.2600.2726, fault address 0x000361c1.

Event ID : 1001
Fault bucket 516868226.

Event ID: 1002 Source: WinLogon
The shell stopped unexpectedly and Explorer.exe was restarted.

Event ID: 1000 Source Application Error
Faulting application mmc.exe, version 5.1.2600.2180, faulting module ole32.dll, version 5.1.2600.2726, fault address 0x000361c1.

Event ID: 1000 Source: Application Error
Faulting application spoolsv.exe, version 5.1.2600.2696, faulting module ole32.dll, version 5.1.2600.2726, fault address 0x000361c1.

Event ID:1000 Source Application Error
Faulting application drwtsn32.exe, version 5.1.2600.0, faulting module dbghelp.dll, version 5.1.2600.2180, fault address 0x0001295d.

Event ID 1002 Source Application Hang
Hanging application mmc.exe, version 5.1.2600.2180, hang module hungapp, version 0.0.0.0, hang address 0x00000000.

Event ID: 1001 Source Application Hang
Fault bucket 126818269.

Event ID: 1000 Source Application Error
Faulting application iexplore.exe, version 6.0.2900.2180, faulting module ole32.dll, version 5.1.2600.2726, fault address 0x000361c1.

Virus scans yield nothing, and because IE fails I can't run a TrendMicro online scan. No other systems are having this issue. Also, there have been no changes in printers or drivers on this system to my knowledge or anyone elses.

Does anyone have any advice on this issue? I'm pretty well stumped. :)
