i have this isrvs file on my pc and all its pain files desktop search etc. I have tried everything on here i can find to try to remove it. The problem is i CANNOT reboot in safe mode. For some reason my pc lets me select safe mode but then when it attempts to boot up it just restarts and goes back to the choice menu for safe normal etc. So is there anyway i can get rid of it another way, god knows why it wont go into safe but i have tried loads and it just wont. Any help would be great,

Thanks Jon

First, download, install, and run CleanUp! (so the scan won't take as long because cleanup will clear temporary files and cookies)

Please download Ewido Security Suite
  • Install Ewido Security Suite
  • Launch ewido, there should be a big E icon on your desktop, double-click it.
  • The program will prompt you to update click the OK button
  • The program will now go to the main screen
You will need to update ewido to the latest definition files.
  • On the left hand side of the main screen click update
  • Click on Start
The update will start and a progress bar will show the updates being installed.
Once the updates are installed do the following:
  • Reboot into Safe Mode, then run Ewido.
  • Click on scanner
  • Make sure the following boxes are checked before scanning:
    • Binder
    • Crypter
    • Archives
  • Click on Start Scan
  • Let the program scan the machine
While the scan is in progress you will be prompted to clean files, click OK

Once the scan has completed, there will be a button located on the bottom of the screen named Save report
  • Click Save report
  • Save the report to your desktop
Reboot your machine and post back a new HiJackThis log and the Ewido .txt log file you saved.

Well i tried and tried to reboot in safe mode but it wouldnt so i did everything you said but not in safe mode. That [bleep] isrvs folder and its contents just wong go, ewido blocks it but cannot remove it. I sure hope you can come up with some way of removing it or getting me into safe mode.

Download: http://www.mvps.org/.../DelDomains.inf to your desktop.

To use: RIGHT-CLICK on DelDomain.inf and select: Install (no need to restart)
Note: This will remove all entries in the "Trusted Zone" and "Ranges" also.

Then, Run HijackThis. Click on "none of the above just start the program", Click on "Config...", click "Misc Tools", click "Open process manager". Select the following files (IF FOUND) and click on "Kill process". Answer Yes to the "Are you sure..." question.

desktop.exe
edmond.exe
ffisearch.exe

Open Notepad, and copy EVERYTHING in the code box below and paste it into a new notepad file. Change the "Save as Type" to "All Files" and Save it as fixme.reg on your Desktop. Make sure there is NO blank line above "REGEDIT4"!:

Restart your computer.

Right did all that you said to do, but unreg.bat could not find 2 of the modules
regsvr32 /u C:\Windows\isrvs\msfiltis.dll
regsvr32 /u C:\Windows\isrvs\msdbhk.dll

The other one was succesfull.

None of the fist set of files you posted to delete were found in the system32 folder

Delete the following files/folders (if present) in C:\Windows or C:\Windows\System32:

delprot.ini
delprot.log
desktop.exe
isrvs (delete the entire folder)

I did find the isrvs folder in the windows folder but it still would not delete and after a reboot ewido is still picking them up and blocking them every time i open a new IE window. Also none of the dlprot files could be found apart from the delprot.sys file in the driver folder but this could not be deleted either.

I couldnt find any of the desktop ones so hopefully they have gone.

Anyway here is my log, i am ready to try any other ideas you have and thanks for taking the time to get this far.
