Hey, I resemble that remark................

May Be from a movie. I do not remember. I've been using it for YEARS instead of

Hey, I resent that....

When the comment was/is generally negative, but fitting (especially to me).

I very easily could have stolen borrowed it from a movie. Most often, if I steel borrow a line I remember where I stole borrowed it from. Even if I cannot remember the source, I almost always remember that I've stolen borrowed it. Not sure with this one.

Yes, her picture ROCKS!!!

I'm quite disappointed in all of you. Ruthandtroy, I thought Google and wikipedia were your friends? None of you thought to do a Google search on the phrase "I resemble that remark"? For shame.

According to my brief research, while the phrase has been used in many movies, it appears to have first been used in a Three Stooges episode. I'm not telling more than that - if you want to know more, you know who your friends are. :whistling:

We're not trying to get two million posts in THIS thread alone. We're reaching for two million posts across the entire board. The other thread was closed when this site as a whole hit one million posts. :whistling:

I use the phrase "I resemble that remark" quite often....usually in reference to a blonde joke.
