I'm quite disappointed in all of you. Ruthandtroy, I thought Google and wikipedia were your friends? None of you thought to do a Google search on the phrase "I resemble that remark"? For shame.
According to my brief research, while the phrase has been used in many movies, it appears to have first been used in a Three Stooges episode. I'm not telling more than that - if you want to know more, you know who your friends are.
