Ok, I'm signed up for 256k dsl internet speed. I've check with my ISP and thats what i have, but lately it hasn't been going as fast as it usually goes. I can usually download games at at least 25 KB/sec and now the max it will go is 10 KB/sec if I'm lucky. I think there's something wrong with my computer.
Please Help Asap. Thank you very much in advanced.

Hi The One And Only Dan.

You can't tell by a download speed how fast your DSL/cable modem/FIOS speed is. You need to run a speed tester.

Speakeasy Speed test

Speedtest.net

BandwidthPlace

DSLReports

Hi.

That looks like tests from just one site. What do the other sites show ?

Did you pick the city that is closest to you ?

Your DSL line is definitely on the fritz. Call up the DSL company and get them to fix it. It may be noise on the line. It worked right before, so they need to restore it. The phone company is always messing around with the lines for some reason or another. Yours may have suffered some collateral damage.
