Hopefully I am posting this topic in the right forum!

I have tried to download Microsoft Defender and Lavasoft's anti-spyware software but in both cases they won't install saying there is an invalid drive F but I don't have a drive F on my laptop. Can anyone advise as to what the problem may be?

Thanks in anticipation

Could be incorrect data in the Windows Registry, pointing to invalid drive letters. The following refers to MS Office, but may also apply to you:
