When my computer boots up into my desktop my start bar freezes.
What I do when I get on my computer is ctrl. alt. del. and terminate rundll32.exe and my start bar works again.

Please help me.

Your start bar may be freezing up because you are trying to fix valid entries in HiJackThis. HiJackThis is a very powerful tool and if you are trying to do this on your own, you can really mess up your computer. Lets start off with this.

The 04 that you are trying to fix belongs to your video card and is a necessary thing.

Lets restore what you have fixed and get a fresh log.

To restore the backups:
  • Open HiJackThis
  • Click Open the Misc Tools section
  • Click the Backups button
  • Place a check mark next to everything in that window
  • Click Restore
  • Click Yes
  • Reboot your computer
  • Re-open HiJackThis and post a new logfile for review.

One specific problem that you may have is that you have 2 Antivirus programs installed. I can see E-Trust and AVG both running. You will need to uninstall one of these as they will interfere with each other.

Please uninstall one of them and then post back with a fresh HijackThis log.

This is the line that everytime I start my CPU I have to fix it with HJT.

It keeps coming back everytime I start my CPU.

Dont fix that!!!!

It is part of the drivers for your VIDEO CARD. It is a good entry and should be left alone!

I will be back shortly to look over the rest of your log.

Please rescan with HiJackThis and click Scan. Check this entry.

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [IST Service] C:\Program Files\ISTsvc\istsvc.exe

Close all open windows except HJT and click Fix Checked.

Reboot into safe mode.

Restart your computer and as soon as it starts booting up again continuously tap F8. A menu should come up where you will be given the option to enter Safe Mode.

Please remove these entries from Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel(if present):

ISTSvc

Please delete these folders using Windows Explorer(if present):

C:\Program Files\ISTsvc\istsvc.exe

After that, reboot into normal windows and post a fresh HiJackThis log.
