:) hello guys and gals. I am having problems running any java program and i dont know what to do. I have windows xp double disc version (sp2). Anytime I try to run any java games or chats its first message is "java™ fatal error " "The java runtime environment cannot be loaded." the next time I try it says "Serveral Java virtual machines running in the same process caused an error."

After I close all browser windows it will show me this error message "iexplore.exe" "the istruction at "0x2e746e65" referance memory at "0x2e746e65" The memory could not be "read"." the codes inside the quotes do change. It has also been a few different "0x00....." ones.

I have tried to repair this problem by removing my java and reistalling it. It hasnt helped. I also tried a few other things that some people said to try. Nothing has seemed to help at all. If you could help i would greatly appricate it. thankyou for your time.

Okay, it's better, but not the answer I was looking for, so let's try again - what's the double disc version?

I understand. IT's the standard xp/sp1 cd with a separate sp2 cd. Not that it matters for this issues.

Have you tried uninstalling java through add/remove programs? then go to http://java.com/ and install the latest version?

Alright, thanks starjax, I just wasn't sure if there ever was a legit 2-cd version of XP.
