My dsl gateway/4 port switch (Linksys AG041) had been giving me hassles for some time, so I decided to get a router (Linksys BEFSR41). Unfortunately it does not support PPPoA which is the protocol my ISP uses, anyone have any ideas on how I could sort this out?

Sounds like you've bought a router designed for cable and you want to use it on a non-cable line.

Take it back and ask for an ADSL router. These all support PPPoA.
