Well a few days back i was having some major issues with my pc so i decided to repair it using my windows xp cd but there was a problem and it kept freezing at a certain moment and i couldnt log back in. In order to move all my files to my external hard drive, I got the big idea to install windows xp on the pc again without formatting temporarily so that i could grab everything and put it on my external hard drive.
so now im on a newly formated and fresh installed windows xp and im trying to find the files that i need on my EX. HD. and i can see the folders that i need but they say that they are empty but there are about 80 gigs of space missing from my ex. Hd. would anyone, please help me figure out the problem. there are some vital files that i need or else i cant work. please dont tell me that they are gone
