While using either Microsoft Outlook or Word (2002, SP3), the "Save As" dialog box keeps popping up on its own. Clicking "Cancel" only brings it back again as fast as I can click. The only way to get free is to use the "Task Manager" to "end task" on whichever program is open and causing the problem. I have run a virus scan using Norton's SystemWorks and just downloaded and ran Windows Defender. Neither found any problems. The problem seems intermittent, whereas I can use either program for a while, then this problem pops up on its own. I can't tell what triggers it.
Anyone else ever run into this? If so, how do I fix it on my machine?
