Router is a pain, help?

Alright so I've been having trouble trying to get my xbox live back up through a wireless connection. I am constantly getting IP failure, saying that it failed get a lease through my DHCP or something like that. I use a netgear WGR614v6 router. I have called the 800 xbox number which is no help, netgear will only help if you're willing to pay. Can somebody help? It will be much appreciated.
