So, I was gaming, and listening to some music (EQ2 & MTV Radio), when my computer completely froze and the music stopped. The modem still recognized the computer and all the LED's still worked. I tried the reset button and nothing. I tried to perform a hard shutdown with the power button and nothing. I couldn't do anything, so I performed a hard shutdown via the power supply to start all over. Now the computer doesn't start up at all. I turn it on and the harddrive and CD drive come up to speed, but nothing else happens. The power button now works. The computer usually comes up, there is a voice that tells me the motherboard has done it's checks and is now booting up on the OS, but that voice is no more. The video is completely gone, the monitor stays in standby. I've never had any other problem with this computer aside from the video card not liking to restart, so this comes as a complete suprise. The only thing I couldn't check is the motherboard, processor, and RAM, because I don't know how. I'm at an impass and need some expert opinion. What do you think?
