Spyhunter was installed on my inherited Dell laptop. It was last updated in July 2003.
Is this still a well-rated program? Should I download an update or would I be better
better off deleting it and downloading HighJackThis? Thanks. wdc

It's on the list of rogue/suspect anti-spyware products and websites list, so I would say it's not a well-rated program. It may actually be spyware itself. I would not delete it yet, and download hijackthis and post your log in the malware removal forum. They will help you remove it, and anything else that may have come with it, or may have been on your computer already.
