Cannot boot w/out boot disk

Help, I just finished build a pc and installed Windows Xp. Everything is fine except i have to have the Windows XP CD in for it to boot up. How can i boot up the computer without needing the boot cd?

What heppens when you boot without the CD in the drive? XP installation went okay--without error?

If it's the only drive on that IDE channel, you want it set to master or cable select. If you purchased a barebones OEM drive you can find the jumper info printed on th hard drive, or check the mfg's website.
