Hi,

I've got a usb to playstation controller adapter that I've used in the past with windows ME and XP. In vista, it installs when plugged in, and appears as a hid-compliant game controller in device manager. However, it is does not appear as a selectable game controller. Anybody got any ideas what the problem might be before I just buy an Xbox 360 controller?

Thanks,

Ryan.

Hi ryan0583, if it works with Windows ME, there's a good chance it won't work with Vista. This seems to be one of the biggest issues with Vista right now - driver support. A lot of people aren't bothering to upgrade to Vista, and it truly isn't worth it unless everything you have is pretty much brand-new... There's just too many products on the market and not enough support for them all...

Just make sure the Xbox 360 controller is Vista-compatible. :)
