Hi, I am new, sorry if its in the wrong place.

Ever since roughly (guessing) 10 days agoish, this error started.

I power on, everything smoothly runs, then the welcome screen hear the error sound, crtl alt and delete, then I see this error

I then do Crtl Alt and Delete to get to task manage, minmize task manager (I have looked, normal process seem to do there...) And press 'ok' on the error box then everything loads normally.

Could Anyone please help me, so the error thing doesn't happen anymore.

This is the error:

The 'error' references something called "C:\ Program" and says it is not found.
Since it occurs at start-up, something must be calling it.
Since Windows can't find it, you get the error message.

I suggest that you get free WinPatrol: http://www.winpatrol.com/

Right click the little dog in your system tray and choose "Startup info.."
Look through the list to see if "Program" is listed.
If found, click it once to highlight, and then select "Disable" at the lower right.

Go on through the list, and "Disable' everything that does not need to start with Windows. Basically everything except your security programs. Everything will continue to work just fine when started manually, but will no longer auto-start.

If the error continues, we can take it to the next level.

OK. Now please open My Computer, and then open C:\ to reveal its contents.
Do you find an entry (either folder or file) called "Program?"

No, i was just wondering what is inside it, quite difficult to fix the problem but sure we will get there :) if it is part of an EA game then leave it. Where is the rest of your stuff? something is deffinately calling this program. If you are happy to go into the following config, then do so.

start > run > msconfig > start up tab > check if 'program' is there?

Also have you uninstalled that EA game or is it still on the system?

** Tip ** I have a partition that i use to install windows, a 20GB partition to put windows in, NOTHING else goes in there, that way i can easily detect malware etc and boot into safe mode then delete and start up normally again. This has helped me time and time again. However i am getting ahead of myself here this is just for next time you re-install windows and for anyone else that reads this post who is deciding to format :) try it, might work as well for you as it does for me.

Picked this up on google, thy say it is a invalid registry entry after the PC booted half way through a program installation.

-------------------------------------------------------------

Try: 1

Install Adaware software from its own website or download.com
Make sure you have an updated version. Run the software and it will give you spyware or any problematic files/registry..
Delete all those files. and restart PC for couple of times.
In my case that error has gone.

Try:2

Install Antispyware beta1 from mirosoft.com and run. Delete all files after that and reboot system.

I instaled both of them and i done have any error now.

i hope it wil sove your problem

Thankyou, I think my PC makers (Local shop) installed Microsoft Anti Spyware, and I think I have Adaware.

Will do scans soon (as in now or couple hours) and will post if it has gone :) or hasn't :)

Thankyou for the advice :)

This would confirm the entry i found on google about a corrupt registry entry. I don't play with my registry however maybe someone that has can help you out with a good tool to help clean it out :)
