Un-installing Programs

hiya,

i'm new to vista and my account is labelled as an administrator account yet i can't do the simple task of deleting programs without being told i cannot do so due to permission rights. I recently installed AVG and then tried to uninstall it but it wouldn't work. I then tried to delete the folders seperately but i get the you do not have the permission to perform the task box everytime and i can't get round it! please help :)

I find, if you do a right mouse click, on the uninstall option, the option to "Run as administrator" will be there.
