while running the defrg. i get ... defrag. of (c:) has been aborted due to inconsistencies that where detected in the filesystem. please run CHKDSK or SCANDISK on (c:) to repair.

I have run CHKDSK 4times now but still can not run a defrag. can anyone help me ??

when i run the CHKDSK in the indexes section it seems to find alot of things that it "fixes/repairs/removes.

what if anything can i do now ??

Go to Start -> Run -> type "cmd" without the quotes, hit enter
In the window that opens type "chkdsk /f /r" without the quotes, hit enter
Then hit Y to do on restart.
Restart your machine and let it run.
Then try the defrag.

Also how big is your drive total, and how much is used?
