I have a screen shot of something I am working on. I pasted it in a Word document. What would be the best way to get a screen shot into my post?

Thanks.

If you want it included in your post, then I wouldn't save the screenshot in Word - I'd save it in something like Paint, where you can save it as a .gif, or something else where you can save it as an image. Then you could include it as a picture in your post. You could include the Word document as an attachment, but then we'd have to download it to look at it.

Ok I have it in paint, but what steps do I have to take to get it into the post. When I click insert image it asks for a url.

Thanks

jaxisland,

When you're replying, scroll down. You should see a browse button, with an upload button next to it. You can browse to the file you want, then click upload. Above that, you'll see a box for manage current attachments; when you click on the drop-down box, it will give you options to include it in your post. See if that works for you.

jaxisland,

I think your attachment is too large to be included - maybe that's why it's not showing within the post.

I'm pretty sure if you save it as a .jpg image, it will work in the post.

For example: (and I'm kind of just hoping this will work, otherwise this post will look funny)

Okay that was a little picture, let's also try a bigger picture:

This is still under the 100K limit, as it won't let me upload anything larger than that at all. But the .jpg is smaller in filesize... :)

So hey! How did you get a file larger than 100K to be uploaded? Even as a .bmp - it's never worked over 100K for me. That's not fair! :)

No, it's 100k for me too. Otherwise my live log would have been SO much easier!
