Blitzkrieg Anthology - No Picture

Have loaded up the game (Disk 1 & 2) with no problems highlighted. I run the game and get the opening credits/music and then the menu screen. Having selected my options I go to new game/tutorial. Once I have selected which tutorial I want the screen shows the meter loading the game.....then the screen goes blank. I can hear the relevant forest noises but I have no picture. I have adjusted the settings but to no avail. I have even put disk 1 in, just in case it needed it. Still no picture...nada. Sometimes I can't even Ctrl-Esc out to get my desktop or Ctr-Alt-Del to get Task Manager.

PC spec below.....any help appreciated.

Just in case anyone else comes across this problem.

Blitzkrieg Anthology doesn't handle Dual Core processors very well and can give all sorts of problems including blanks screens. I downloaded a patch from blitzkrieg-portal.co.uk and it works fine now.
