Hi,

First off I'm really not sure whether I should post this here, but as I'm on XP i thought it was as good a place as any. I'm having real problems with my CD Drive. When I try to put photos onto Disc it goes through 99.9 of the process before saying that the files could not be written, and then it won't allow me to eject the disc, forcing me to restart the computer and eject it then. The same happens really when I try any rewriting, moreover it seems to hate copied audio cds.

Although it was not the beginning of the problem, it was certainly exacerbated when I attempted to install Adaptec Easy Cd Creator 4 (which I now know isn't compatible with XP). I've uninstalled the program using add/remove and a programme called roxioblast (i think). However the same problems persist with the CD Drive.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers!

Hello jimbo1046,

Lets give another CD burning application a try. Deepburner is one that I use and is free.
