So I'm having the exact same problem that was listed here

and it looks like making a new profile did the trick. My problem is, I can't find any profile folder. I am running on XP and I have searched every inch of my computer, and have found nothing of the sort. The closest I have gotten is the Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\ folder, which has no indication of any profiles within.

When I use the run tool and type in firefox.exe -ProfileManager exactly how it says, firefox starts up.. that's it. So it seems apparent to me that I have no profile. What should I do?

Profiles live in the C:\Documents and Settings\<Your user name>\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles folder.

Did you make sure that you had completely exited out of ALL firefox processes? That is one of the steps needed to get to the profile selection.
