I am living in residence where there is a floor wide network. To access the it however you need to authenticate using "putty" if this makes a difference later. If I plug the wan directly into my computer, I can listen to other peoples Itunes music libraries, through the network. However if I install my router I no longer have access to the other libraries, leading me to think the router is blocking something in the Lan network. I am wondering if anyone knows of a setting that I have to change so that I could get access to the network with my router, as if I do not have the router installed. I am using a D-Link DI-604 router if that helps.

Thank you for your help!
