When 1st logging on to my computer, I get a msg: windows cannot find c:\windows\bdaecsc.exe
I deleted the file several weeks ago, but how do I get rid of the link that's pointing me to that file...

The line that calls that missing file will be in either your 'Startup' folder or (more usually) in the Registry. The easiest and safest way to find and remove it is with "Startup Control Panel". It lists everything that is configured to start with Windows, and allows you to disable or delete any of them. Get it here: http://www.mlin.net/StartupCPL.shtml
