Last night I was sitting down to get on the Toshiba Satellite L25. It was already powered on and had an IE window up. It started to go into Hibernate mode (which I have never understood how to work) so I hit some buttons (FN) to try to stop it. The screen went blank and now won't start back. The battery power indicator light will flash amber I think 8 times when the power button is pressed and nothing at all happens. Please help!

Try unplugging the laptop from the ac outlet and removing the battery. Then replace the battery and try to start it. That should do hard reboot. Note: Anything not saved will be lost. Also when it restarts it will ask you which boot option you want. Windows normal should be fine.
